HOWTO REPACKAGE THIS CLIENT:
---------------------------
NOTE: A MegaMek.jar is included with this binary; however,
more resources from MegaMek are required to properly run a
client. This binary contains no unit files, no hex images,
no camo images, no unit images, and so on.

COPY MEGAMEK FILES INTO YOUR DISTRIBUTION:
1) Download an appropriate MegaMek version from
   http://www.sourceforce.net/projects/megamek
2) If desired, replace the default MegaMek.jar.
3) Copy desired boards from MegaMek's /data/boards/
   into MekWar's /data/boards
4) Copy desired images from MegaMek's /data/images/camo/
   into MekWar's /data/images/camo/ folder. Alternatively,
download a camo pack from the MegaMek data tracker or
add some of Jake's Camos from:
   http://home.earthlink.net/~wmurrow/jake/
5) Add files from MegaMek's /data/images/ folder
to the MekWars /data/images/ folder, including the
hexes/ and misc/ directories. Do *not* add units/
   at this time.
6) Add ALL files from MegaMek's /data/images/widgets/
folder to the MekWars' /data/images/widgets/ folder.
7) Update MegaMek Docs. There are 12 doc files packaged
   in this client. History.txt, BMRFeatureList.txt,
license.txt and Contributors.txt should be updated and
included with every client. Double check to make sure
you are including the license. This is important.

ADD DATA FOR YOUR ENVIRONMENT:
1) Replace the appropriate .zip files in /data/mechfiles
with those for your server. The Meks.zip file must include
the MekWars Error unit (Error OMG-UR-FD.hmp) or the
client will crash if given an unknown unit. Default files
for server assigned artillery are included in Vehicles.zip.
   These are optional, but recommended.
2) Add your mechset.txt and appropriate image files to
   /data/images/units
3) If your server's build tables are mono-era (ie - all factory
build tables are in the ./3025/ folder), zip the ./3025 dir,
name the newly created archive "buildtables.zip" and add it
to the client's ./data/ folder. If you are using multiple eras
for production on your server, or some factories use tables
which do not begin with faction names, SKIP THIS STEP.
4) Add an icon (128x128 preferred for scaling and attractiveness
on OS X) to /data/images/ which will be shown in the task bar,
system tray or dock [as platform appropriate]. Add this file's
   name to the default serverdata.dat.
5) Optional - add a splash image, gif of jpg, to /data/images/.
A default mekwarssplash is included in this package.

REMOVE UNECESSARY PLUGINS
1) Move the MekWarsAdmin.jar file out of the pacakge which will
be distributed to players. Set it aside, and be prepared to
send it (or otherwise make it available) to your co-admins and
moderators as needed. Players with access to high level commands
must have this file in their root directory in order to see the
   various administrative menus.

CONFIGURE (or remove) AUTOUPDATE FILES:
1) Remove update.bat, updatefix.bat and update.sh if
your server will not be using autoupdates.
2) Refer to AUTOUPDATERSETUP.txt if you WILL be using
   autoupdate functionality.
NOTE: The update.bat included has an example pointer.
It will crash when run. Don't forget to change.

FINALLY:
1) Modify serverdata.dat to your liking. It is imperative that
you CHANGE THE DEFAULT SERVER IP to an IP which will
   connect players to your server.
2) Double check #1. I said it was imperitive, damnit.
3) Remove server op documentation (/MekWars Docs/FOR OPS/)
before redistributing the client. It just confuses people.
4) Make COPIES of the client and TEST TEST TEST. It is important
that you work from copies so as to avoid any possible oddities
with logs being distributed, serverdata.dat being deleted, etc.

IMPORTANT: The MegaMek.jar included with MekWars is generally
the Minimum Version required. New MegaMek files may include new
features; however, the packaged jar is only updated when required
to support new campaign features or cope with MegaMek changes,
such as modification of the post-game returns. Newer versions of
MegaMek may incorporate changes which break compatibility with
MekWars. Carefully test any new version before upgrading. Some
new versions of MegaMek will work with existing versions of MekWars,
others will break compatibility.
